Reema Khan changes color after taking 17.5 million

Reema Khan changes color after taking 17.5 million

Pakistani film actress, Reema Khan took 17.5 million from a Sialkot business man, Shahid Rafique for her latest Lollywood production ‘Kitni Haseen hai Zindagi’.
Shahid Raqique has filed an application to delay the release of her film in Pakistan film distributor association because Reema is not giving him the money back.
On the other hand, Reema is clearly denying the fact she has taken money. “I have not taken any money, it’s all baseless crap, I’ll see him in court and the court will decide who’s wrong and who’s right.” said Reema.
However, after Shahid sent Reema the court notice, Reema has flown away to Malaysia.
Pakisatan film distributor association member, Ch. Kamran said, “We sent a court notice to Reema and asked her to come but she is nowhere to be found now.”

Three Decades Of Clergerie

October 28, 2010

Should any of you ladies out there find yourself lacing up a pair of menswear-style oxfords today, spare a thought for Robert Clergerie. The venerable French footwear brand, which turns 30 this year, was the first to create a classic men’s-style oxford for women (on a man’s last, no less), and the ones Clergerie turns out today are, arguably, still the best. You can pay homage to Mr. Clergerie himself (pictured, bottom right), in fact, if your oxford-o-philia is intense enough: The shoemaker has made a rare trip to New York City and is celebrating his brand’s birthday this afternoon with a fĂȘte at Bergdorf Goodman. A trip to the BG shoe department will confirm that Clergerie’s footwear mastery is not confined to the lace-up alone. Some highlights from the Fall ‘10 collection include a curvilinear wedge with crisscross straps and a pair of hiking boots with a clear lug sole. (Not to mention the ace Robert Clergerie par Opening Ceremony range, available at O.C.) Clergerie still makes all his shoes by hand at his factory in Romans, France, and he’s still a stickler for comfort—as fans including Lauren Hutton and Blake Lively would undoubtedly attest. Here, as a birthday tribute, a few images from the Clergerie archives.

London’s On Fire

October 28, 2010
The fire trucks were summoned to Ciano in New York City’s Flatiron district—site of last night’s cocktails, hosted by Ed Westwick and Georgia May Jagger (left) for up-and-coming London designers—by a small fire in a wood-burning oven. The firemen had it under control in a matter of moments, but they didn’t seem to want to leave. Must’ve been all the pretty young things—Hanneli Mustaparta in Todd Lynn and Byrdie Bell in Holly Fulton, included—at the party. The British Fashion Council’s co-chief executive, Caroline Rush, was even spotted posing for pictures with a ladder truck for a backdrop. But it hasn’t been all play and no work for the Londoners. From the sound of it, they’ve been selling like crazy down at the Soho Grand this week. “What makes London different is there’s such a sense of camaraderie and creative vitality amongst these designers—it gives them the confidence to do what each of them want to do, and not worry if their things are different from everybody else’s. That’s why we have such colorful originals as Meadham Kirchhoff, Louise Gray, Mary Katrantzou, and Michael van der Ham,” Vogue’s Sarah Mower said. Thanks to the showroom appointments here and in Paris, she tells us, sales to international retailers have gone up by 50 percent over three seasons.

At Target, GO Comes Back

Hard to imagine it now, but there was a time before fast fashion/designer collaborations. (It was a mythical year called…2003.) The meeting of high-end designer and mass retailer has changed the way we shop, and none more than Target, whose designer collab series, GO International, celebrates its fifth year in 2011. To celebrate, it’s digging back through the archive and re-releasing dresses from its now-unavailable collections gone by; the 34-piece collection will draw on GO lines by Proenza Schouler, Luella Bartley, Libertine, Rogan, Richard Chai, Rodarte, and more. The company’s remaining tight-lipped about what will be produced until February 2011, but if we’ve got any powers to persuade, we have a few suggestions for dresses we’d be happy to see—and even wait on line for!—a second time around
